Meditation & Mindfulness

There are many things in life that are beyond our control. However, it is possible to take responsibility for our own states of mind – and to change them for the better. Sometimes it is the only real antidote to our own personal sorrows, the anxieties, fears and other shortcomings. Meditation practices are techniques that encourage and develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity and calmness.

We like Jon Kabat-Zinn’s definition of mindfulness*: “Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way; On purpose, in the present moment, and
nonjudgmentally
.”

By engaging with our Meditation & Presence practice you learn the patterns and habits of your mind, and the practice offers a means to cultivate new, more positive ways of being.

*We prefer to use the word 'Presence' instead of 'Mindfulness' because we work on the ability to 'be present'. Practising mindfulness is on the path to being fully present.
